Terms of Service

Short version: Salon N Barber is a marketplace. Pros are independent and run their own businesses. We don't verify professional licenses. Pros promise they're allowed to offer what they list and that their work photos are their own. Reviews come only from real appointments. Break the rules and we can remove you.

1. Who we are

Salon N Barber (salonnbarber.com), based in the United States of America, runs an online marketplace where clients find and book independent barbers, stylists and other beauty pros ("pros"). We are not a salon. We don't employ pros, set their prices, or perform any service. By using the site you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

2. Pros are independent

  • Each pro is an independent business, not an employee, agent or partner of Salon N Barber.
  • Pros set their own services, prices, hours, policies and payment methods. The service contract is between the client and the pro.
  • We do not verify professional licenses, certifications or insurance. If a credential matters to you, ask the pro before your appointment.

3. What pros agree to

By creating a pro account you confirm, and keep confirming for as long as your profile is live, that:

  • You are legally allowed to offer every service you list, and you hold any license, permit or registration your state or city requires for it (for example, a Texas TDLR barber or cosmetology license where one is required).
  • The information on your profile (name, photo, services, prices, location and hours) is accurate and belongs to you.
  • You'll honor bookings you accept, or cancel with reasonable notice.
  • You'll follow the health, safety and sanitation rules that apply to your work.
  • You're responsible for your own taxes, insurance and business obligations.

4. Work photos

  • Post only photos of work you personally did, and only photos you own or have permission to use.
  • No stock images, no photos copied from other pros, salons or social accounts, and no AI-generated images presented as your real work.
  • Get your client's OK before posting a photo where they can be identified.
  • You keep ownership of your photos. You give Salon N Barber a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display them on the site and in promotion of the site while they're posted.
  • We may remove any photo and suspend any account that breaks these rules, without notice.

5. Reviews

Only clients with a real, completed appointment can leave a review. Pros may not review themselves, pay or reward anyone for a review, or pressure clients to change one. We may remove reviews that are fake, abusive, off-topic or share private information.

6. Booking and payment

  • Booking through Salon N Barber is free for clients. You pay the pro directly for your service, using the payment methods they accept.
  • We don't take a commission on services and we don't handle refunds for services. Take any service dispute to the pro first. If it isn't resolved, contact us and we'll look at the booking record.
  • Please show up for appointments you book, or cancel as early as you can.

7. Pro membership

  • Membership is a flat $19.99 per month. Billing begins when you sign up, and you can cancel anytime from your dashboard. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where the law requires.
  • We may change pricing for future periods with advance notice.

8. Safety and conduct

Don't use the site to harass, threaten, scam, impersonate someone, spam, or post anything illegal or sexually explicit. Clients and pros can block each other and report problems from their accounts. When a serious report comes in (for example impersonation, a scam or a safety concern), we may hide the profile while we review it. We may warn, suspend or remove any account, and remove any content, at our discretion.

9. Messages and email

Messages sent through the site are kept on our servers so we can deliver them and review reports. We send account and booking emails, such as sign-in codes, confirmations and message alerts. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal information.

10. Disclaimers and limits

The site is provided "as is." We don't guarantee any pro's skill, availability, credentials or results, or that the site will always be available or error-free. To the fullest extent the law allows, Salon N Barber isn't liable for services performed by pros, for disputes between clients and pros, or for indirect or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim related to the site is limited to the greater of $100 or the membership fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

11. Changes and law

We may update these Terms. If we make a material change, we'll update the date above and, for pros, send an email. Texas law governs these Terms, and any dispute will be handled in the state and federal courts of the United States of America.
